HI, I'M ERIKA
I started my lifelong love affair with fashion and design at the age of 18 while attending classes
at the University of Utah. This passion for merchandising actually started at a much younger age, yet truly developed
when hired at Nordstrom around that same time. After 17 years in retail, holding positions from selling to managing,
merchandising to buying, I made my way from the West Coast to New York City to fulfill my dreams both personally and professionally. I created a boutique-trend forecasting and consulting firm called Mindbox, and gained more
knowledge of the fashion and design industry. Mindbox continued to grow, allowing me to explore and expand the business to include design and lifestyle projects. I found myself helping clients not only with their fashion needs, but with organizing and refreshing their closets, staging their homes to sell, and redefining spaces that reflected their personal style. Here, I learned that I had a passion for home and design and enrolled in Interior Design classes at the New York Institute of Art and Design. I felt fulfilled and rewarded by creating solutions and
designs to better my clients' lives. More importantly, it didn't feel like a job, rather a passion. A passion that felt
natural, one I was born to do. So it began, another chapter in my life, a chapter that allows me to be creative, connect with people, and help them beautify their spaces.
